The hydrolyzed bovine collagen in Beauty Collagen™ has undergone an enzymatic hydrolysis process, which allows the long collagen chains to be broken down into shorter peptides with a molecular weight of 2,000 Daltons. This low molecular weight makes collagen peptides more easily absorbed by the body .
Collagen peptides are absorbed in the small intestine via active peptide transport and then delivered to target tissues such as skin, joints, hair, and nails . In these tissues, collagen peptides stimulate fibroblasts to synthesize new collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid.
The cocoa in the formula gives the product a delicious, natural flavor and provides polyphenols with antioxidant properties . These compounds help neutralize free radicals, which affect the skin’s aging process and the condition of collagen fibers. Furthermore, cocoa antioxidants support peripheral microcirculation, which promotes better blood flow to skin cells and a more efficient delivery of nutrients and collagen peptides to tissues.
Acerola fruit extract is a natural source of vitamin C, or ascorbic acid. Vitamin C serves as a key cofactor in collagen synthesis, as it is essential for the proper hydroxylation of protein structures. Vitamin C is easily absorbed in the small intestine and works synergistically with collagen peptides, stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen, while also exhibiting antioxidant properties and supporting blood vessels.
Guarana seed extract provides caffeine , which has stimulating and metabolic effects. By influencing blood circulation, it supports the nourishment of target tissues such as the skin and hair follicles, complementing the effects of the entire formulation.
Steviol glycosides from stevia are low-calorie, naturally derived sweeteners obtained from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant. They provide a sweet taste without the use of traditional sugar, thus avoiding sudden spikes in blood glucose levels after consumption. These compounds pass through the upper gastrointestinal tract and are metabolized by intestinal microflora, providing a safe sugar substitute in supplement formulations.
The collagen peptides contained in Beauty Collagen™ have been subjected to a clinical trial, which concluded:
“Based on the study results, oral administration of specific collagen peptides led to a marked, statistically significant reduction in the volume of wrinkles around the eyes. Unlike most topically applied substances, this positive effect on the skin appears to result from a direct effect on the turnover of the skin’s extracellular matrix, as evidenced by a significant increase in collagen and elastin synthesis.”
Research methodology and study group
The study was conducted according to the gold standard in clinical trials, meaning it was randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled.
The study involved 114 healthy women aged 45-65, randomly divided into two groups: an active group and a control group. The active group took 2,500 mg of collagen peptides daily (the same amount found in a daily dose of Beauty Collagen™), while the control group took a placebo. The study lasted 8 weeks.

One of the observed effects of taking collagen peptides contained in Beauty Collagen™ in a clinical study was a 20% reduction in wrinkle volume.
At the beginning of the study, the volume of eye wrinkles between the two groups did not show any statistically significant differences.
After 4 weeks of treatment, the active group showed a statistically significant reduction in the volume of eye wrinkles by an average of over 7.2% compared to the placebo group.
After 8 weeks of treatment, in the active group, wrinkle volume was significantly reduced by an average of 20.1% compared to the placebo group.
Wrinkle volume was calculated using an in vivo three-dimensional optical measuring device. The results were also photographed.

Other observed effects of taking collagen peptides contained in Beauty Collagen™ in a clinical study included an increase in the content of procollagen and elastin in the skin by 65% and 18%, respectively.
The effects were noted after 8 weeks of taking collagen peptides.

A dalton is a unit of atomic mass used to describe molecular weight. Daltons are used to describe the molecular weight of collagen, or the size of its molecules.
High molecular weight collagen is subjected to the action of digestive enzymes like any other amino acid. High molecular weight collagen is found, for example, in gelatin, at approximately 25,000 daltons (Da).
Low molecular weight collagen is not fully digested, and its absorption takes place largely through the intestinal walls, and is transported to tissues with the blood, stimulating fibroblasts to produce collagen.
Low molecular weight collagen is considered to be below 3,000 Daltons (Da). Beauty Collagen™ contains peptides with a molecular weight of 2,000 Da.
Vitamin C is an incredibly important nutrient in the human diet. It’s widely known for supporting the immune system, but above all, its effects are inextricably linked to both collagen synthesis and preventing its breakdown!
Vitamin C participates in the biosynthesis of collagen , provides electrons to enzymes involved in hydroxylation, which results in the transformation of procollagen into collagen.
Furthermore, vitamin C is part of the skin’s protective system against UV-induced oxidative stress. This system consists of the antioxidant enzyme SOD and the antioxidant system, composed of vitamins C, E, and glutathione. Vitamin C is responsible for inhibiting the action of metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1 or collagenase-1).
What are metalloproteinases (MMPs)?
This group of enzymes plays a crucial role in both physiological processes (e.g., wound healing) and pathological processes. Among the MMPs, specific types can be distinguished, including the previously mentioned MMP-1, which is responsible for the breakdown of collagen types I, II, III, VI, and X.
The caffeine contained in guarana (10 mg per serving) acts in our body as a clever fatigue blocker.
During the day, a molecule called adenosine naturally accumulates in the brain. Its function is to “switch us off.” The more of it there is, the more sleepy and tired we become. However, caffeine is very similar in structure to adenosine, which allows it to occupy its receptor sites in the brain, preventing it from working.
Since adenosine can’t signal sleep, the brain gets an energy boost: natural stimulants (such as dopamine and norepinephrine) are released. This increases alertness, makes us react faster, and makes our thinking clearer and more focused .
Additionally, caffeine acts as a combustion activator in the body: it blocks the enzyme that normally breaks down energy molecules in cells (cAMP). Increased levels of this substance make the body more likely to tap into fat stores and boost internal heat production (thermogenesis). Importantly, because the caffeine in guarana is combined with natural tannins, it is released into the blood slowly, resulting in a milder and longer-lasting stimulation, without a sudden energy crash.
Cocoa powder is a rich complex of methylxanthines, polyphenols, and minerals. The biochemical dimension of cocoa is based on several parallel pathways.
Cocoa is rich in theobromine, which has a similar effect to caffeine but is gentler on the nervous system. Its main benefit is that it relaxes smooth muscles and dilates blood vessels (helping the body produce nitric oxide). This slightly lowers blood pressure and improves microcirculation, facilitating the delivery of nutrients—for example, amino acids from collagen—exactly where they’re needed.
Cocoa also contains flavanols and procyanidins – antioxidants that scavenge free radicals from the body, protecting delicate cells and DNA from damage. Importantly, they inhibit enzymes (e.g., MMP-1) that, when exposed to the sun or stress, destroy our natural collagen, ensuring skin’s firmness.
Cocoa also provides L-tryptophan (serotonin precursor) and phenylethylamine (PEA) , which supports the synthesis of neurotransmitters responsible for mood stabilization and mental well-being.
