The Magnesium malate B6 dietary supplement is a magnesium preparation containing an organic form of magnesium: magnesium malate and vitamin B6 in the form of pyridoxine hydrochloride.
Magnesium is an essential and irreplaceable component of cellular biochemical functions, activating over 300 different enzymes. It actively participates in important metabolic pathways, such as glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, β-oxidation, and ion transport across cell membranes. Thanks to its physicochemical properties, Mg2 can bind to the cell nucleus, ribosomes, cell membranes, and cytosolic macromolecules.

Magnesium malate is an organic form of magnesium, which is a combination of magnesium with malic acid, an important compound involved in the Krebs cycle, a key metabolic process responsible for energy production in cells .
This form of magnesium is especially recommended for those suffering from chronic fatigue and muscle pain , as malic acid supports the production of ATP, the main source of cellular energy. Magnesium malate is easily absorbed and has a gentle effect on the digestive system. This form of magnesium not only supports muscle and nervous system function but can also improve endurance and reduce fatigue. Thanks to its antioxidant properties, magnesium malate supports the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Pyridoxine hydrochloride , known as vitamin B6 , is a key component of numerous metabolic and physiological processes. It acts as a precursor to the active form of vitamin B6, pyridoxal-5′-phosphate (P-5-P) , also known as pyridoxal phosphate (PLP) , which participates in over 100 enzymatic reactions, including the synthesis of amino acids and neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine.
Pyridoxine hydrochloride is a stable form with good bioavailability. Absorbed in the small intestine and transported to the liver, it is converted to the active form , pyridoxal 5′-phosphate (P-5-P), by pyridoxal kinase enzymes.
As a precursor to pyridoxal phosphate (PLP) , it supports normal psychological function and the immune system by participating in the synthesis of neurotransmitters and immune proteins. P-5-P contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue by supporting energy metabolism and is also a cofactor in fatty acid metabolism, which regulates hormonal activity.
Furthermore, vitamin B6 in this form supports cysteine synthesis and red blood cell production , which is essential for healthy circulation. Pyridoxine hydrochloride contributes to the proper functioning of the nervous system and homocysteine metabolism, which is crucial for cardiovascular health. Additionally, it plays an important role in protein and glycogen metabolism, supporting anabolic and energy-producing processes in the body.
L-Leucine is present in most of our supplements and most often acts as a technological substance , necessary in the supplement production process.
Many manufacturers choose magnesium stearate as a processing ingredient. At LABS212®, we’ve chosen not to use magnesium stearate in the production of our supplements. Why?
First, magnesium stearate may reduce the bioavailability of active ingredients, hindering their absorption. Second, there are suggestions that it may negatively impact the immune system by inhibiting T-cell function. Some people may experience allergies or skin irritations related to this ingredient.
We chose a natural alternative in the form of L-Leucine, which is an amino acid and, in terms of production, plays the same role as stearate.
L-leucine is one of the most important branched-chain amino acids, crucial for anabolic processes in the human body. As an essential amino acid, L-leucine must be supplied through food, as the body cannot synthesize it on its own. Biochemically, L-leucine plays a crucial role in regulating the mTOR pathway, which leads to the stimulation of muscle protein synthesis. As a technological ingredient, it is found in small amounts. Supplemented in higher doses, it can contribute to improved muscle recovery and increased muscle mass, which is particularly important for athletes and physically active individuals.
Every thought, feeling, emotion, action, learning, and memory is accompanied by a complex symphony of biochemical processes overseen by the nervous system. The nervous system performs a superior, regulating, and integrating function over other human systems and organs. It receives and registers stimuli, then processes the information, and, working in concert with other systems, ensures the harmonious functioning of the entire organism.
The effective functioning of the nervous system requires an appropriate concentration of neurotransmitters , but due to the biochemical changes taking place in the brain, it is also necessary to maintain an appropriate level of cofactors for enzymatic reactions .
Both magnesium and B vitamins are essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system. Vitamin B1 is involved in the transmission of nerve impulses, vitamin B2 participates in the production of key neurotransmitters (including dopamine and serotonin), and vitamin B5 is one of the factors regulating adrenal function and the formation of neurotransmitters. Vitamin B6 is crucial for the nervous system, participating in the metabolism of tryptophan, a precursor to serotonin. It also exhibits neuroprotective properties, reducing the neurotoxicity of domoic acid (in shellfish poisoning). Furthermore, it regulates homocysteine levels, an excess of which leads to the development of many pathological conditions. Vitamin B6 is also essential for magnesium absorption, and the presence of magnesium is necessary for the proper conduction of nerve impulses. Magnesium activates and consolidates interneuronal connections, thus supporting short- and long-term memory.
The supplement market offers a wide range of magnesium forms, differing primarily in their absorbability but also in their additional effects. We can primarily distinguish between organic and inorganic forms of magnesium. Differences in absorbability between organic and inorganic forms have been widely documented in numerous studies. It is estimated that magnesium from inorganic compounds is absorbed in an average range of 10-16% , and even 4% in the case of the popular magnesium oxide. This, compared to the absorption of magnesium from organic compounds, which is approximately 90%, is an incomparable difference.

Magnesium (Mg) absorption in the body depends on many factors. Magnesium is an essential mineral that plays a key role in numerous biological functions: nerve conduction, protein synthesis, muscle function, and the regulation of blood sugar and blood pressure.
The chemical form of magnesium is decisive for absorption:
Gut health reduces absorption: Gut conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), celiac disease, or Crohn’s disease can reduce magnesium absorption.
Consumption of other nutrients interacts with magnesium:
