AdaptoPOWER™ has been created as a supplement to boost vitality, increase energy and motivation and enhance cognitive performance potential.
The role of particular constituents:
Adaptogens are natural substances that have adaptogenic properties. They support the body in self-regulation and return to homeostasis. Adaptogens trigger the production of hormones; they can regulate adrenaline and cortisol secretion, regulate sleep and also boost libido in men and women.
The term ADAPTOGEN dates back to the 1940s. It was developed in the 1970s by the Russian scientist Nikolai Lazarev, who was the first to research and describe adaptogenic substances and to initiate research into this group of substances. According to some sources, the term originates from the Latin verb adaptare, which means to adapt.
Substances with adaptogenic properties can be found in mushrooms, plants and herbs. They are known in natural medicine and have been used for centuries, not only as oral preparations but also in cosmetics.
Some of the best-known adaptogens are:
Withanolides are compounds present in plants that show biological activity.
According to research, withanolides have cytostatic (anticancer as having a toxic effect on cancer cells), antibacterial, and antiseptic (disinfectant) effects.
The richest and best-known source of withanolides is Ashwagandha. KSM-66 Ashwagandha® is standardised to 5% withanolides.
The maximum safe daily dosage of withanolides is 10 mg.
Cognivia™ combines a patented, organic Garden Sage (Salvia officinalis L .) leaf extract
and Spanish Sage (Salvia lavandulifolia) flower, stem and leaf extract. As a nootropic, it has positive effects on cognitive functions.
The potential of sage has been harnessed to create the innovative Cognivia™ formula.
The substance has been subjected to a series of clinical trials, the first of which was
conducted at the Northumbria University on a group of healthy volunteers and demonstrated an overall benefit on working memory function from just a single dose. It has also demonstrated an increased performance over time consumption.
A controlled, randomised, double-blind, crossover clinical trial carried out at the French National Institute for Health and Medicine Research (INSERM) was conducted in 2021. It was demonstrated that:
