Thyro Spectrum® DAY dietary supplement is a carefully formulated blend of active ingredients designed to support thyroid function during the day, intended for morning use.

Thyro Spectrum® DAY contains:

L-Tyrosine:

  • L-Tyrosine is a direct precursor to thyroid hormones: thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), serving as a substrate for their synthesis within thyrocytes,
  • L-Tyrosine participates in the process of iodinating tyrosyl residues of thyroglobulin, which is a key step in the formation of thyroid hormones,
  • L-Tyrosine supports the healthy activity of the hypothalamus–pituitary–thyroid (HPT) axis, influencing the physiological regulation of TSH secretion,
  • L-Tyrosine may indirectly support the rate of energy metabolism and thermogenesis by optimizing thyroid hormone production,
  • L-Tyrosine plays an adaptive role under physical and mental stress conditions, which can impair the conversion of T4 to T3.

Quercetin Quercefit® (Sophora japonica L.):

  • quercetin exhibits strong antioxidant properties, protecting thyroid cells against oxidative stress resulting from intensive hormone synthesis,
  • quercetin supports the modulation of the inflammatory response, which is significant in the context of autoimmune thyroid disorders,
  • quercetin may influence the regulation of pro-inflammatory cytokine expression, supporting the protection of the thyroid gland’s structure,
  • quercetin, thanks to the Quercefit® phospholipid technology, is characterized by increased bioavailability, allowing for more effective biological action,
  • quercetin supports immune balance and may indirectly promote the stabilization of the hormonal axis.

Indian Frankincense gum resin extract (Boswellia serrata) BOSWELLIN®:

  • indian Frankincense contains boswellic acids, including AKKBA, which modulate inflammatory pathways by inhibiting 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) activity, leading to reduced synthesis of pro-inflammatory leukotrienes and supporting the control of chronic inflammation,
  • indian Frankincense supports the reduction of chronic inflammation, which can negatively affect thyroid function,
  • indian Frankincense promotes the protection of thyroid gland tissue against excessive immune activation,
  • indian Frankincense exhibits effects that support immune system balance, which is essential in autoimmune disorders.

Bladderwrack extract (Fucus vesiculosus) standardized to 0.1% iodine:

  • bladderwrack extract provides iodine – a key structural element of T3 and T4 thyroid hormones,
  • bladderwrack extract supports proper thyroid hormone synthesis by ensuring adequate iodine supply,
  • bladderwrack extract contains natural bioactive compounds (polysaccharides, polyphenols) that support the protection of thyroid cells.

Daytime challenges for optimal thyroid function

The thyroid plays a central role in the regulation of the body’s energy metabolism, as thyroid hormones—thyroxine ($T4$) and triiodothyronine ($T3$)—influence the basal metabolic rate, cellular oxygen consumption, and the production of ATP in the mitochondria. These processes are particularly intensive during the day, when the body’s demand for energy and metabolic efficiency is at its highest.

During the day, thyroid hormones affect the functioning of the nervous system, supporting concentration, alertness, and the ability to adapt to stress. They also regulate thermogenesis and the management of energy substrates, enabling the efficient utilization of glucose and fatty acids. Therefore, proper thyroid activity is crucial for maintaining physical and cognitive performance during daily activities.

Disruptions in thyroid function can lead to a reduced rate of cellular metabolism, resulting in lower energy production and diminished ability of the body to adapt to both physical and mental exertion. At the biochemical level, this is associated with decreased mitochondrial activity and reduced ATP synthesis.

In practical terms, this may present as persistent fatigue, psychomotor slowing, and reduced concentration. Additionally, disturbances in body weight regulation may occur due to inefficient utilization of energy substrates, along with unfavorable changes within the hypothalamic–pituitary–thyroid axis.

Thyroid-supporting ingredients act through multiple pathways, covering both the synthesis of thyroid hormones and their actions at the cellular level. L-tyrosine and iodine provide the essential substrates for the production of T4 (thyroxine) and T3 (triiodothyronine), while magnesium and B-group vitamins support enzymatic reactions related to energy metabolism.

Active forms of folates and vitamin B12 participate in methylation processes and DNA synthesis, which are necessary for proper cell regeneration. Meanwhile, compounds with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, such as quercetin and boswellic acids, help protect thyroid tissues from oxidative stress and excessive inflammatory activation, supporting their structural integrity.

Daytime thyroid support may be especially important for individuals exposed to high metabolic and stress-related demands, which increase the body’s need for adequate thyroid hormone activity and efficient energy regulation.

Support may be beneficial for those experiencing low energy levels, difficulty concentrating, or reduced tolerance to physical or mental effort. Maintaining proper hormonal balance supports metabolic stability, efficient energy utilization, and overall performance throughout the day.

The thyroid plays a fundamental role in regulating energy metabolism, energy levels, and nervous system activity. Thyroid hormones – primarily thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) – modulate basal metabolic rate, thermogenesis, cellular oxygen consumption, and cognitive function, making proper thyroid function particularly important during the day.

The morning represents a transition period from regenerative processes to increased metabolic activity. When thyroid function is impaired, this adaptation may be less efficient, potentially resulting in reduced cellular energy production, fatigue, psychomotor slowing, and decreased concentration. Insufficient synthesis or conversion of thyroid hormones may also lead to a slower metabolic rate and disruptions in body weight regulation.

Throughout the day, the thyroid helps adjust the intensity of metabolic processes to the body’s current needs, including energy demand, glycemic stability, and nervous system performance. Supporting normal thyroid function contributes to hormonal balance, efficient use of energy substrates, and an appropriate physiological response to stress and physical activity.

An integrated – approachcombining a healthy lifestyle, balanced nutrition, and targeted daytime nutritional support – can help maintain energy homeostasis, cognitive performance, and metabolic efficiency.

High doses of iodine are generally considered contraindicated and potentially harmful in Hashimoto’s disease. In individuals with autoimmune thyroiditis, iodine intake exceeding physiological requirements may contribute to adverse effects and exacerbate thyroid dysfunction.

The iodine included in Thyro Spectrum® is present at a moderate level—16% of the recommended daily intake for a healthy adult. This means that a substantially higher intake would be required to reach the full daily requirement. However, in the context of Hashimoto’s disease, it is generally advised not to exceed 100% of the daily iodine requirement, making controlled, physiologically aligned intake particularly important.
